Steffen Schrägle was born in Germany and discovered his passion for photography while living in Ireland as a young adult. For more than 20 years he has worked internationally as a professional photographer where his work has been commissioned by global agencies, brands and architects. His personal work has been exhibited in various European cities, the U.S.A. and U.K. He has received numerous prestigious awards including Architecture Photographer of the Year by the International Photography Award (IPA). By capturing reality—injustices and imbalances, as well as joy and beauty— his images reflect both the grace and neglect in our surroundings, how we treat ourselves and each other, where we come from and where we are going. He is based in Europe and is happiest when traveling by bike with camera in hand.
